Mapledurham At War

The location of the 1976 film ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ is an apt venue  for Mapledurham at War. Re enactors from all over the country will converge on the beautiful Mapledurham Estate to set up camp as if it were during World War 2 for the entire weekend.  Army trucks, tanks and cars will convey the troops around the site whilst the camp displays will show how life was during that time. Authentic battles will take place each day and musicians and dancers  from the period will entertain the troops.
